HIGHLIGHTS OF THE ANTIQUE CITIES AND HIDDEN BAYS OF GAZIPASA TOUR FROM ALANYA:

SYEDRA ANCIENT CITY:
Syedra Ancient City is located approximately 20 km east of Alanya, near Seki Village. Founded in the 7th century BC, this impressive ancient settlement lies about 400 metres above sea level, on the foothills of the Taurus Mountains.

Syedra is one of the most remarkable archaeological sites in the region, known for its rich history and its breathtaking panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea. Archaeological excavations are still ongoing, and new discoveries continue to shed light on the city’s past.

The city flourished especially during the Roman Empire, minting its own coins and maintaining direct relations with Roman emperors. Its location outside mass tourism routes makes Syedra a highly attractive stop for travellers seeking authentic history, nature, and scenery.

AYTAP ANCIENT CITY:
Aytap Ancient City is located about 30 km east of Alanya, towards Gazipasa, directly by the sea. Its seafront location is the most distinctive feature that sets Aytap apart from many other ancient cities in the region.

With its harbour remains, coastal setting, and calm atmosphere, Aytap is an important yet lesser-known archaeological treasure along the Alanya–Gazipasa coastline. Its peaceful environment makes it ideal for visitors who wish to explore history and nature in a relaxed setting.

Archaeological evidence shows that Aytap was actively inhabited from the 2nd century AD. It developed as a small harbour city during the Roman period and was later reinforced with defensive walls in the Byzantine era. During our break here, you can explore the ruins overlooking the sea and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.

SELINUS BEACH – SWIMMING BREAK:
Selinus Beach is one of the rare beaches located at the foot of an ancient city along the Mediterranean coast. It takes its name from the nearby Selinus Ancient City and is within walking distance of Gazipasa town centre.

The beach stands out with its clear waters, natural structure, fine sand, and historical atmosphere. Far from crowded beach clubs, Selinus Beach offers a peaceful and meaningful swimming experience.

Located where the ancient city meets the sea, this largely untouched beach is believed to have been used as part of Selinus’ harbour activities in antiquity. Today, it provides a calm swimming spot where history and nature blend seamlessly, offering visitors a unique coastal experience.

YALAN DÜNYA CAVE:
Yalan Dünya Cave is situated approximately 55 km from Alanya and 15 km from Gazipasa, within the boundaries of Beyrebucak Village, about 400 metres inside a mountain.

With its impressive columns, stalactites, and stalagmites, Yalan Dünya Cave offers a fascinating underground world waiting to be discovered. The cave is said to have gained its name from the feeling of complete detachment from the outside world once inside.

The cave has a total length of around 4 km, though only 450 metres are open to visitors. It is estimated to be approximately 5 million years old, having been revealed after a collapse about 50 years ago. One of its most remarkable features is that the cave’s natural formations are still actively developing.

ANTIOCHIA AD CRAGUM ANCIENT CITY:
Antiochia ad Cragum Ancient City lies about 60 km east of Alanya and 20 km from Gazipasa. This magnificent city was built on steep cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, at an elevation of approximately 300–350 metres above sea level, and is surrounded by rocky and steep slopes.

Named after King Antiochus IV of Commagene, who lived in the 1st century AD, Antiochia ad Cragum is considered one of the most impressive Roman-era cities in Anatolia, thanks to both its architecture and dramatic location.

For travellers seeking more than a standard ancient city visit, Antiochia ad Cragum offers a truly memorable journey where history and nature come together.

KING’S BAY & DELIK DENIZ:
With their turquoise waters, natural rock arch, and untouched landscape, Kral Koyu & Delik Deniz are among the most stunning and unspoiled bays in Gazipasa.

Delik Deniz takes its name from a natural rock arch opening directly to the sea, formed by thousands of years of wind and wave erosion. Kral Koyu is the local name used for the nearby bay that forms part of the same area.

Located within the borders of Gazipasa, a quiet district neighbouring Alanya, this bay remains one of the Mediterranean’s rare untouched natural wonders. Its dramatic cliffs, crystal-clear waters, and peaceful atmosphere make it a perfect escape for swimming and relaxation, especially for those wishing to avoid crowded beaches.
